The Reason Manifesting Isn’t Working For You

Why does manifesting work for some people, but not for you?

Because as you’re creating, you’re not believing. Let me explain.

Manifesting is the process of intentionally creating what you want. You are a creator, and you are constantly creating your reality. So why not make something you really want?

Creation happens in stages. Some of the manifesting stages are easier than others to follow. But one stage in particular we tend to get wrong.

Let’s go over the four stages of manifesting, and I’ll show where we can sometimes fall off track.

Stage 1: Dream and Get Clear

This is the step most of us are good at. This is the stage where we begin to dream about what we want. We dream so much that what we want becomes so clear in our mind’s eye. In this stage, ideally, we can see what we want really clearly if we close our eyes. Or if we can’t see it, we can feel it. At this stage, the hope is if you were asked to imagine what life would look like with your manifestation here, you would be able to describe it.

Stage 2: Receive Guidance and Follow

Some of us like to believe that manifesting doesn’t require any work on our end. Or if we’ve been very pushy in the past, we may try to manifest by receiving only. While yes, we are receiving in manifesting, there are parts of the manifesting process where we are also following and doing. Meaning, we are receiving guidance from the universe and following it.

For example, if you’re manifesting a romantic relationship, you may feel called to call an old friend and start hanging out again. This creates new momentum in life and leads you to new opportunities.

Sometimes the guidance will come spontaneously and other times, you may have to find quiet time to meditate and ask for messages.

Stage 3: Believe in Your Inspired Action

This it, friends. This is the stage where we start to feel a little crazy. Getting clear and dreaming is fun. Stage two feels hopeful. And then we get to stage three: we’ve been trying new habits for a few days and nothing seems to be happening. This is where we can lose hope and shift our energy into wacky states.

Taking steps isn’t what matters. It’s how we feel and what we believe about the steps that matter.

If I’m taking steps towards my manifestation, but I don’t believe those steps are going to work, then I might as well not do them.
If you find yourself taking action towards what you’re creating, you want to feel good about it. If you don’t feel good while you’re taking the steps, you need to ask yourself why? Get down to the fear and see how you can rework it. Or perhaps the steps you’re taking are steps someone told you to take, but you don’t believe in the step yourself. If that’s the case, it’s time for an alternative route.

Stage 4: Track Your Proof

This is the stage where you’re supposed to trust that what you want is coming and let go. But I find that anxiety can bring anxiety making our energy less potent. Instead, I suggest you track proof. Meaning you look for the signs and the feelings that what you want is coming.

Sometimes what we’re trying to manifest is too out there in the future, making the progress to that goal very discouraging. Imagine if we would track our progress by creating milestones that lead to that big goal.

Let’s say you’re trying to grow your business and want to make $4,000 a month. But you just started and right now, you’re only making $500 a month. What if you would celebrate every $100 over $500? And when you celebrate that win, what if you mark it in your mind as proof that you’re going to hit $4,000 soon. Proof that this is working.
