Remember last week I spoke about giving to ourselves? Well, that’s exactly what I did this past weekend. I had the most amazing time on Saturday at Macy’s Aventura doing some yoga with the ladies behind Bitsy Bottom and eating well with Chef Chris Valdes of Cooking With Chris. Two things I did not expect: First of all, I was totally sweating during an in-store yoga sesh. Wasn’t this suppose to be easy? And second, eating healthy can be surprisingly easy with the right tools and when someone as adorable as Chris Valdes teaches you.
He used a NutriBullet to make a ridiculously delicious gazpacho, which I know doesn’t sound super appetizing, but believe me it hit all the right spots. We often think eating well is complicated, but Chis proved me wrong by throwing some tomatoes, peppers, and other simple ingredients into the NutriBullet make his cold soup that satisfied all the senses. I actually left purchasing the NutriBullet for my husband so he could make himself some easy smoothies in the morning. So far so good!
There were several other dishes, but of course, my fave was his better-for-you milk and cookies.
If you missed me this week, do not fret. I will be attending another Macy’s event in Miami on April 22 at 11am at the Dadeland Mall location. I’ll be teaming of with Clinique and will be giving out free mini relationship readings. But before then, there’s these other Macy’s events happening that you don’t want to miss!
